POLY FOR SKAGERAK

Poly is a coat rack made of wooden poles and balls. Seven arms extend from a central ball, each ending in a ball. The balls have different sizes, and the arms have different lengths, which produces an interesting tension. With Poly I wanted to create a coat rack with room for several items of clothing with a striking form aspect and a simple graphic expression. The positioning of the arms plays both a visual and a functional role. Poly is harmonious but also has an inner tension.

Poly was part of Danish Crafts Collection 17 and is just now being launched by the Danish company Skagerak. It comes in oak or painted ash in ocker yellow and royal blue.
