DICIOTTO

A grid of 18 interlocking circular plexiglass discs surrounding the light source forms the basic of this series. DICIOTTO means “18” in Italian.

The discs are build together with slits all carefully fitted and all discs are different thus creating a lively yet balanced expression. The discs form a graphic composition of circles, lines and angles.

The DICIOTTO series started my cooperation with Nina Yashar and Nilufar Gallery in Milano.

I have been making these lights and chandeliers for more than 10 years in numerous constructions and sizes.

The lights are made in bespoke colour combinations and configurations thus making it possible to make a center of attention in any space.

The DICIOTTO lights come in different configurations from single pendants to bigger chandeliers and the long vertical lights with 8 lights sources.

"I try to allow an element of chance in the process, so that I too am looking forward to seeing how it’s going to come out. I hope that this energy stays in the lamps, and the viewer feels like exploring what happens with the colours and the light – both when she changes position in relation to the lamp and when the lamp is switched on.”
