COPPIA for GUBI
The COPPIA Table Lamp is a crosswalk between art, design, craft and sculpture. The lamp celebrates pairings, meetings and dualities.
Openings in the structure invites exploration of the interior of the light. COPPIA lends the design a touch of 1950s and1960s style. Simple and minimalist while also being playful and decorative, the lamp owes its character to the meeting of materials – the hard, matte surface of the brushed metal versus the colourful, high-shine finish of the plexiglass.
It is important for me that the lamp stirs the viewer’s curiosity, encourages to move the light around and explore it from different perspectives –exactly as one might a piece of sculpture.
It is suited to be used as both a table and floor lamp, moving easily from desktop to bedside, shelf to windowsill as desired. It is available in three unique colorways.
